Interdisciplinary Roles

Use of course curriculum to integrate other disciplines to the lessons being tought.

GROUP PROJECTS

Theme Development

  • Develop a list of interests related to the course's subject matter.

  • Identify the global theme.

  • Incorporate/link different areas of discipline to the theme.

  • A group leader will record everyone's ideas .will act on consensus.

Research of Topic Related

  • Each member investigates a topic or topics to help develop the body of the group project.

  • Group decides the method(s) by which the presentation will be formalized (materials, equipment, and schedule of meetings will be discussed).

  • The group leader mediates assignments of the related topics to each member of the group.

Group Project Development

  • Students adhere to the schedule proposed for the project completion.

  • The group leader makes sure everyone contributes throughout the different stages of the project completion.

  • He/She will attempt to resolve any problems (personal or academic) that arise within the group.

  • If mediation does not resolve the situation, then he/she should contact the professor.

Presentation

  • The group presents their completed project to the class.

  • They explain how it was done and how it related to the course in a 10 minute presentation.

  • Relation to the course 25%

  • Completion 25%

  • Team work 25%

  • Originality 25%
