Two types of Being

Star Child
You are the star child,
you who were born bright and pure,
to a mother and a father,
in a little cottage warm and secure.
Could you know the earth, heavenly star child?
Could you know the world,
when looking down from yon celestial sphere?
You have choices,
and space to move in any direction.
Unrestricted and yet contained
within the hearts of your parents.
You soar about the night sky,
your parents have given you a little light
some of us have never known.
Don't look down on us, Star Child.
Join us for you may find that we are
truly the center of the universe,
and that living only with your own
is too obscure and far
from the reality of home.

Nebulas
You are the Nebulas
you who were born in a cloud of dust,
to no one and everyone
the universe is your home as far as dust can roam. Could you not know the earth? He is your brother.
Looking down you can see him, you know every corner,
quite like your own,
both born from expulsion,
both drawn to fire and the rage, Restricted and uncontained.
Your heart evolved carefully
carved from stone you glow from reflection, perception,
because when we look
to the sky
we finally see Nebulae.
