Reunion With God

Although love of God is the greatest love and the greatest commandment, our Lord’s love for man is so great that He puts love of neighbor as the requirement for entrance into His kingdom. He puts love of one’s neighbor as the condition for union with Himself. One knows this from the last discourse of Jesus Christ to His apostles.

“This is my commandment, that you love one another, as I have loved you.”

Jn.15:12

One also knows that this is true because if a person does not love their neighbor then such a person cannot love God. For if a person does not love that which can be perceived with the senses then how can such a person love that which cannot be perceived with the senses (1Jn.4:20-21). Thus, such an individual cannot be allowed to enter God’s world for union with Him. Such an individual is worthy only of eternal damnation in the second death.

Love of neighbor is the “formula” for entrance into the kingdom of heaven. But love of God is the requirement for spiritual growth within the kingdom of God. That is to say, that once a child of God has union with God, that child must then manifest love of God before beginning to grow spiritually and thus gain entrance into the innermost mansion of our Lord’s kingdom. Again, Jesus Christ gave all mankind the requirement for this while giving His last discoursed to His apostles.

“Greater love than this no man hath; that a man lay down his life for his friends.
“You are my friends, if you do the things that I command.”

Jn.15:13-14

This is the method of obtaining spiritual perfection. In spiritual perfection is the mystery of God. However, one need not actually physically die in order to lay down one’s life for God. One only needs to place the needs of one’s neighbor above one’s own wants and desires. One merely needs to find out what our Lord’s will is concerning oneself and then say yes to that summons. (For the vast majority of people it is simply being honest and just in all their dealings with all their neighbors.)

By following such a course one will reach spiritual perfection in a very short time. One will then possess the great courage and humility it requires to cross over the barrier that separates the inner mansion from the outer mansions of the castle of one’s soul. Upon obtaining such an intimate, spiritual union with our Lord, one will clearly understand the symbolism that used by the prophet in the Canticle of Canticles.

Using the love and the intimacy between a man and woman and the beauty of this world as an analogy, this ancient prophet eloquently describes the marriage of Jesus Christ and His bride.

“Let him kiss me with the kiss of his mouth; for thy breasts are better than wine.
“Smelling sweet of the best ointments. Thy name is as oil poured out: therefore young maidens have loved thee.
“Draw me: we will run after thee to the odor of thy ointments. The king hath brought me into his storerooms: we will be glad and rejoice in thee, remembering thy breasts more than wine: the righteous love thee.
“. . .
“Show me, O thou whom my soul loveth, where thou feedest, where thou liest in the midday, lest I begin to wander after the flocks of thy companions.”

Cant.1:1-3,6

Of all loves, pleasures and ecstasies of this world, the greatest is love of God. This love is the opening of the secrets of Jesus Christ. This love is the beginning of the marriage of our Lord and His spouse, the spiritual union of God and one’s own soul.

God pierces one’s soul and enshrouds one with His love. One penetrates God and envelopes Him with one’s humility. The two become as one being raptured in infinite bliss, emerging from the depths of emptiness and desiccation and then rising to the heights of ecstasy and delirium. This is the mystery of God.

“Behold thou art fair, my beloved, and comely. Our bed is flourishing.
“. . .
“I am the flower of the field, and the lily of the valleys.
“As the lily among thorns, so is my love among the daughters.
“As the apple tree among the trees of the woods, so is my beloved among the sons. I sat down under his shadow, whom I desired: and his fruit was sweet to my palate.
“. . .
“My beloved to me, and I to him who feedeth among the lilies.
“. . .
“In my bed by night I sought him who my soul loveth: I sought him, and found him not.
“. . .
“Thy lips are as scarlet lace: and thy speech sweet. Thy cheeks are as a piece of a pomegranate, besides that which lieth hid within.
“Thy neck is as the tower of David, which is built with bulwarks: . . .
“Thy two breasts like two young roes that are twins, which feed among the lilies.
“. . .
“Thy lips, my spouse, are as dropping honeycomb, honey and milk are under thy tongue; and the smell of thy garments, as the smell of frankincense.
“My sister, my spouse, is a garden enclosed, a garden enclosed, a fountain sealed up.
“. . .
“The fountain of gardens: the well of living waters, which run with a strong stream from Libanus.
“Arise, O north wind, and come, O south wind, blow through my garden, and let the aromatical spices thereof flow.
“. . .
“Let my beloved come into his garden, and eat the fruit of his apple trees. I am come into my garden, O my sister, my spouse, I have gathered my myrrh, with my aromatical spices: I have eaten the honeycomb with my honey, I have drunk my wine with my milk: eat, O friends, and drink, and be inebriated, my dearly beloved.
“I sleep, and my heart watcheth: the voice of my beloved knocking: Open to me, my sister, my love, my dove, my undefiled: for my head is full of dew, and my locks of the drops of the nights.
“I have put off my garment, how shall I put it on? I have washed my feet, how shall I defile them?
“My beloved put his hand through the key hole, and my bowels were moved at his touch.
“I arose up to open to my beloved: my hands dropped with myrrh, and my fingers were full of the choicest myrrh.
“I opened the bolt of my door to my beloved: but he had turned aside, and was gone. My soul melted when he spoke: I sought him, and found him not: I called and he did not answer me.
“. . .
“My beloved is gone down into his garden, to the bed of aromatical spices, to feed in the gardens, and to gather lilies.
“I to my beloved, and my beloved to me, who feedeth among the lilies.
“. . .
“I went down into the garden of nuts, to see the fruits of the valleys, and to look if the vineyard had flourished, and the pomegranates budded.
“. . .
“How beautiful art thou, and how comely, my dearest, in delights!
“Thy stature is like to a palm tree, and thy breasts to clusters of grapes.
“I said: I will go up into the palm tree, and will take hold of the fruit thereof: and thy breasts shall be as the clusters of the vine: and the odour of thy mouth like apples.
“Thy throat like the best wine, worthy for my beloved to drink, and for his lips and his teeth to ruminate.
“I to my beloved, and his turning is towards me.
“. . .
“Who is this that cometh up from the desert, flowing with delights, leaning upon her beloved? Under the apple tree I raised thee up: there thy mother was corrupted, there she was deflowered that bore thee.
“. . .
“Many waters cannot quench charity, neither can the floods drown it: if a man should give all the substance of his house for love, he shall despise it as nothing.”

Cant.1:15; 2:1-3,16; 3:1; 4:3-5,11-12,15-16;
                      5:1-6; 6:1-2,10; 7:6-10; 8:5,7

God only has one law: Love thy neighbor (Gal.5:14). His law is the same today as it was yesterday and will be the tomorrow. His law is the same for all people all over the world. His law has never changed and never will.

For example, it has always been against God’s law to take another person’s life and it will always be against His law. It has always been against God’s law to lie and to steal and it will always be against His law. It has always been against His law to be prejudice and bigoted and it will always be against His law.

But a different mandate may be found in the laws of the Mother Church. For example, She presently has laws against women being priests, against divorce, birth control, in vitro fertilization, surrogate motherhood and other methods of planned parenthood. She has laws against safe, consensual adult nudity and sex outside the marriage. Whether or not the Catholic Church repeals these laws is for the Holy See to decide.

This latter law is not found within the Golden Rule (Mt.7:12). It never has been and never will be (1Cor.6:18). For sin is an evil act committed against God or one’s neighbor. But sexual intercourse is an act of materialism committed against one’s own body.

This is because sexual intercourse is a biological act and by its evolutionary nature cannot be evil. Therefore, there is no sin involved in it, although there may be some materialism involved if there is no love. The sin and guilt come only through the laws that were made by man, not God.

It was male chauvinism, prejudice and ignorance that created such laws thousands of years ago before the time of Abraham. It is still male and female intolerance and pride that causes one mate to be owned by the other partner. However, a man does not own his wife, nor does a woman own her husband.

Marriage is a partnership and each partner of the marriage should be free to enjoy the life given to them by God. If they love each other then neither should have fears of losing the other’s love. Neither partner should be concerned about losing their mate to some other interest, even if such should be with another person.

Indeed, such relationships should not be looked upon as an insult to the marriage — as most people do — for these affairs are actually a blessing. If there is love in the marriage then such trysts will only strengthen the bond. For if one’s spouse has a relationship with another person and does not leave one then it might just be because one’s spouse loves one. But if there is no love then there is no marriage and such trials will only dissolve a relationship that had already deteriorated.

If one feels insulted because one’s spouse has has a tryst with another person then it is one’s own pride that has caused the insult, not the behavior of one’s spouse. But regardless of the reason, unfaithfulness to one’s spouse has very little to with sex and sexual intercourse. One is faithful to one’s spouse by being there in times of need, not necessarily by abstaining from sexual intercourse outside the marriage.

Studies into the evolution of sex and desire have shown that some people have a greater sex drive and are more sexual than others. Also, sexual intercourse with someone other than one’s mate is a product of male and female human sexual development. Thus, sex outside the marriage is not an evil act, nor is it an insult to the marriage. It is one’s own pride and male and female chauvinism that makes it an insult.

However, all this is not to give credence to wanton promiscuity. Marriage is sacred and the parties of the marriage should not indulge in adult nudity and sex unsafely and without full consent of all involved.

God only has one law. If there is one law by which God judges all mankind then there must be only one universal morality by which God also judges all mankind. This morality must be the same for all mankind — past, present and future. It cannot be one morality for one people and another morality for another people.

For example, if it were not immoral for King David to have several mistresses (2Sam.5:13) then it is not immoral for anyone else to have lovers. This universal morality is of one’s own heart; it is of one’s own conscience. If one is pure of heart then whatever one does sexually is moral and lawful as long as that which one does is safe, consensual and non-exploitive between all parties involved.

However, our Lord’s Mother Church has made laws that need to be obeyed and God has accepted these as though they were His will. For He stated that what thou shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven and what thou shall loose on earth shall be loose in heaven. Guided by the Holy Spirit, His Mother Church made the law for the protection of His children and they must obey their spiritual directors (Heb.13:17).

Would one allow a small child to play with a loaded gun? Of course not! Would one allow one’s teenage child to indulge in uninhibited sexual exploitation, for such is like playing with a loaded gun? Of course not! However, would one force one’s adult child to obey these same laws or would one allow one’s adult child to make their own decisions about what is safe and good?

The same may be said of mankind today. Mankind today is spiritually older and spiritually more mature. Mankind does not need someone to tell them what they can and cannot do within a marriage, whether to have children or not, whether even to stay married or not, or whether to have several mates or lovers or not to have them. They do not need someone making restrictive laws that must be obeyed and preventing them from enjoying the life given to them by God.

Earlier societies may have needed these laws and restrictions because they did not have the technology, the knowledge or the medical advancements to indulge in such things. But today human beings are spiritually old enough and mature enough that they do not need a lot of cumbersome laws and regulations to guide them to Jesus Christ.

What the children of God need are deacons, priests and bishops who teach through example by living exemplary lives. One member of the cloth living an exemplary life is a beacon for all to follow but one member of the cloth living a depraved life is worse that numerous atheists.

Just as a mother bird releases its fledgling from the nest when it is old enough, the children of God only need to be set free from their protective confinement to obey God’s law of love. They only need to be honest and just with their neighbor as outlined in the second book of this trilogy.

Now that all the catastrophes of St. John’s apocalyptic revelation have come to pass and the prophecies of Daniel have been fulfilled many may easily become frightened. This could cause despair with thoughts that there is no hope left. Such thoughts could then easily cause a person to do something foolish and sinful. This is exactly what the evil one and his henchmen would want and encourage a child of God to do.

But one should not look upon the future of this world with grief-stricken agony. One should not look upon the future with gloom and despair. Everyone should continue in their everyday affairs in a normal, rational fashion and bring truth and justice into their own lives. Those who do not follow such a course of action and those who perceive their future with melancholy are not doing the will of God.

First of all, there is still a chance that man will have a change of heart and prevent the war. Secondly, no one knows when the war will come. For our Lord will not resume the countdown until the pouring of the seventh vial and no one knows when that will come. The Nuclear War could be many, many years away.

But most importantly, today is a time for hope. The coming of our Lord should be looked upon with joy and celebration. Jesus Christ is coming again! He is coming to save the children of God. Does one look upon the expectant birth of a child with gloom? Of course not! One looks forward to it with thoughts of happiness and thanksgiving. The same is true with the coming of our Lord.

What one is approaching is their birth into the kingdom of heaven. The prophecies of the Holy Scriptures warning one to beware of the great and terrible day of the Lord should not be looked upon with despair. These prophecies are meant for the children of God to prepare themselves to greet our Lord. The punishments are to fall upon the wicked individuals of this world, while the gifts are to be bestowed upon those with love in their hearts (1Thes.5:9).

One should be optimistic and look forward to the second coming with joy and love. Indeed, how can a child of God look forward to the second coming with gloom in their heart. Our Lord brings with Himself love, life, truth and justice. What appears to be a terrible and frightening journey for all mankind is in reality a brief and courageous pilgrimage for the children of love. In a very short period of time the children of God will “liftoff” and step into a new world. One will soon enter into a world where one is limited only by their own love of God and man.

One should not let the evil pseudo-Christians fool one into believing that our Lord will suddenly appear over St. Peter’s Basilica, in Jerusalem or anywhere else in this world. Those who would promote such beliefs are liars and should not be listened to. Our Lord will not appear in any physical place on this earth, for God is found within one’s soul.

“Then if any man shall say to you: Lo here is Christ, or there, do not believe him.
“For there shall arise false Christs and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders, insomuch as to deceive (if possible) even the elect.
“Behold I have told it to you beforehand.
“If therefore they shall say to you: Behold he is in the closets, believe it not.
“For as lightning cometh out of the east and appeareth even into the west: so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
“Wheresoever the body shall be, there shall the eagles also be gathered together.”

Mt.24:23-28

From the gospel of St. Luke one also learns that the kingdom of God cannot be seen with the physical eyes. This is because God’s world is a spiritual kingdom, not a physical world.

“And being asked by the pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come? He answered them, and said: The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:
“Neither shall they say: Behold here, or behold there. For lo, the kingdom of God is within you.”

Lk.17:20-21

Hence, one should not be looking to the skies or to any particular church or to anywhere else in this world for the second coming. No one knows when, where or how He will appear. Rather, since God is within one, one should allow our Lord to manifest Himself to others through one’s own actions, by being truthful and just in all dealings with one’s neighbor. Such is obeying the law and loving one’s neighbor and loving God.

Finally, many people will not believe what is written in this trilogy. However, one should note that the gifted scholar John Henry Newman (1801 - 1890) and others set out to study the Anglican Church’s title to apostolicity of teachings. But then after examining the writings of the early Christians and comparing these teachings with the present teachings of the Mother Church, he discovered that Her teachings have remained unchanged over the passing centuries.

He discovered this because he sought for truth, not his own beliefs. He then tried to reunite the Anglican Church of England and the Roman Catholic Church. Although he was unsuccessful in this, in the year 1845, he himself did convert to Catholicism. His work and conversion effected mankind so much that it went down in history as the Oxford Movement, manifesting the power of one man’s quest for truth.

This was brought out in order to manifest to all mankind that if one man, acting alone, can find truth, then so can all others working together collectively. However, if this is to be done, then those who would make such a search must follow reason and logic. They must ignore their own prejudices and any preconceived false beliefs they may harbor. They must also reconcile their teachings with those of the Mother Church.

But most importantly, they must be humble in their search for truth. This is because it is impossible for one person, or even a group of people, to draw others into an obedience to the law and to believe in truth if they themselves are disobeying the law and believing in lies. They will only succeed in dividing themselves more than they may already be divided.

Before closing there is one more topic that needs to be discussed and that is the meaning of the Consummation. Just what is the Consummation? It is defined in the dictionary as the completion or fulfillment. This is exactly what has happened. Except the final war and the creation of the new world for all the children of God, the Holy Bible has been fulfilled from the beginning to the end.

In actuality what has taken place since the beginning of time is one great, continuous war between the forces of good and the forces of evil. Eil has been destroyed. One may liken this to a great chess match between two great masters, the master of all that is good and the master of all that is evil. Of course, our Lord is a far superior player.

In the beginning, God made many preliminary moves designed to strengthen the truthful teachings of His children. He gave mankind a castle for the kingdom of his soul and then took control of the center of man’s spiritual yearning. He protected man’s spiritual growth by offering the henchmen of Satan materialistic goals to seek.

God set up His control groups — the Jews before the coming of Jesus Chris and the Catholic Church since His Resurrection — and His experimental groups — all other religions and churches. He did not manipulate the beliefs of other religions and churches but allowed them to grow unhindered. He did this in order to manifest His superiority over all, the superiority of truth over lies and justice over injustice.

To the evil amateur, all God’s actions seemed a waste of time. Satan exposed his wretchedness and weakened his mobility. Dividing his forces, he neither developed any lasting threats nor any positions of superior strength. But our Lord knew that all His preliminary actions would be needed for the destruction of the evil one.

With the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, the King of kings and Bishop of bishops, our Lord seized the initiative. One may say that the martyrdom of the ancient prophets was a clear example of pawn grabbing by the evil one. Such physical deaths were the preparations for the main battle won by Jesus Christ at His Resurrection. This may be perceived as the breaking open of the center of Satan’s kingdom.

Although our Lord’s Resurrection left the evil one’s teachings defenseless and divided, he continued his stubborn fight through the Middle Ages. He refused to concede to the fact that he was beaten. This foul wretch continued his pursuit of useless materialistic goals and his gobbling up (murdering) of more children of God. Then the Renaissance saw the dawn of the end.

Today one is in the final moments of action, the Consummation or end game of this great war. One may say that God’s pawn is on the seventh rank. He is about to promote it. When He does this will signal the end of the game for Satan. This will mark the end of the Copernican Revolution. God will have finished His experiment and accomplished what He set out to prove. He will have won the war.

Each soul must blossom from a seed to become a great tree. Love is the seed planted in one’s own heart by God. Each person must feed and water this love them self by believing in truth and following after justice. Those who love God will seek to know truth and justice, while those who love materialism will follow their own beliefs and actions.

When the soul first encounters this earthly world of pleasures, it is as a small, weak plant needing much protection. This is because materialism and sin will crush it down and, as with a small plant, the soul cannot grow in such a condition. Because most people love materialism, they remain as small, weak plants, and they grow very little spiritually.

Often it is the goal of the evil one to catch such infant souls and destroy their faith before they can get to know God. For Satan knows that he cannot combat the spiritually stronger, more mature soul.

Much of the protection a weak soul needs is obtained through spiritual gifts granted by our Lord. It is with these gifts that He protects His weaker children from the snares of the devil.

When one’s tree is a little stronger one will remove the protective fence one has placed around it and leave it with just a guiding stick. This will insure that the tree will continue to grow straight. The same is true with regards to one’s soul. God knows that the more mature souls are able to continue their climb to Jesus Christ without a lot of gifts. So He removes these protective barriers and leaves one’s soul with just a few small gifts. This will insure that one will continue to grow stronger spiritually.

Eventually one’s soul, like the tree, grows strong enough to withstand the greatest of storms. At such time, God will give this information to His child, bless His child and let His child go, with the Holy Spirit, to live a life of love. One may say that our Lord will set one free, so to speak, from the mother’s nest, from one’s protective confinement, to fly among the mature, adult birds.

It is thus that all the children of God live the same life, receive the same temptations and follow the same path to God. Jesus Christ lived the same life, received the same temptations and followed the same road. The only difference is that He did not sin but showed the way to truth, life, knowledge and justice.

One should note that very few souls grow beyond a point where they no longer need a protective fence and even fewer grow beyond a point where they no longer need an embracing stick. This is because of their love of materialism and their self love. It is not that such is sinful in itself. But, as with the physical body and alcoholic beverages, too much materialism and too much self love will intoxicate one’s spiritual senses and prevent one from finding truth and justice.

Should a person just strip them self of this love of materialism and love of self, instead of waiting for our Lord to do it, then such a person’s spiritual growth would be much faster and easier. This final step or consummation is fulfilled through love of neighbor (Jn.15:12-14).

Remember to pray often, for such also feeds the soul. Keep in God’s good graces by obeying His law: Love one another. A person can do anything he or she desires and if such is not hurting anyone else then such is obeying God’s law. Indeed, if one loves his neighbor then he will not want to do anything that would hurt his neighbor. It is that simple.

In other words, one loves their neighbor by obeying the Golden Rule: Do not do to others that which you do not want them to do to you (Mt.7:12). Such love is the key that opens all doors, the lever that moves all weights. If one does this, if one is truthful and just with their neighbor then one will find our Lord God. One will discover a world of love and truth that is beyond one’s wildest and most beautiful imagination and is just waiting for one to enter. As it is written:

“From the beginning of the world they have not heard, nor perceived with the ears: the eye hath not seen, O God, besides thee, what things thou has prepared for them that wait for thee.”

Is.64:4 (1Cor.2:9)

Remember, love one another. Without this love one cannot find God.
