Welcome to L.B. Pearson Summer School 2008

Your starting point to aid in your successful completion of this course.
Classes start at 8:00 AM and end at 1:30 PM. You may be asked to withdraw from this course if you are consistently late or sustain several (3) abstinences.
The first break is 9:30 to 9:40 and the second break is 12:20 to 12:30, and remember you can't go far in 10 minutes.

It will be expected that you regularly use this site and be familiar with all the information that is available here.
Also, you marks will be posted on the Internet. Site is written on the board and a code is required to read your marks.

Consider this as your homework reading assignment to be completed by the next day!

Need help with physics problems then try
  1. How to Solve Physics Problems
In 7 segments, none of which are that long. Each is a go to (Click Here) note. Further references are also include in each note.
    The topics are as follows:
    1. Physical Process depicted in the problem.
    2. Frame of Reference from which the problem will be analyzed.
    3. Information Given and implied in the problem.
    4. Unknown Information requested in the problem.
    5. Relevant Physics that applies to the problem.
    6. Mathematical Methods you will used to find the unknowns.
    7. Scurtinizing your Answers to determine their validity.
This material is only of value if you use it; it is here to assist you, but you must read through the material.

  2. Hints on Solving Physics Problems
A dozen or so quick hints as to what to look for when approaching a physics problem.

Been a while since you were in grade 10? The Motion Strand is not part of this program. You are suppost to know this material. Hence for a review of Motion, vectors, velocity, accelerations and assorted graphs you should rewiew all of the material presented on the next three pages.

  2. Motion Notes Two Click Here
  3. Internet Links CLICK HERE .
There are a lot of sites here but each is rather short and covers only one or two points. When we start Unit II this material should have been reviewed.
