People's Exhibit (remember the cloned Sams)- Samantha talks:
Target on CSM
*tissue moments!*
Mulder cries on Scully's bedside (Mulder, don't bite her!)
Blevins calls Mulder in; he looks bushed
Goes straight to Scully
Mulder gets a heart!
Calls for a short break
priest doing rosary at Scully's bedside
sidekick asks / Mulder: "I will answer that question" / Blevins / Mulder answers same / sidekick asks / same / sidekick / same / CSM / picture of Mulder & Sam / sniper / sidekick / Mulder / sidekick / Mulder names the section chief / gasp!
Mulder looks like ‘damn, I'm the man‘ / CSM looks down on red dot / sniper fires / Blevins comes into room, agitated / sidekick hangs up phone and shoots him / CSM drags picture closer to him / fade to black
Whew! What did we learn from all this? Well, supposedly Cigarette-Smoking Man, the supposed biological father of Samantha Mulder, is dead. Mrs. Mulder (damnit, what's her first name!!??) may have had an affair with CSM and produced Sam and/or Fox. Samantha Mulder herself may still be a brainwashed clone (or just a great actress: if our Scully could weep over an undead Mulder... well, no, maybe she was weeping over the fact he was still alive ;-p) If she is Samantha, she's got her own life now and Mulder's obsession may have been cooled by the *truth*.
The question posed in "Gethsemane" and "Redux" is even more ambiguous: we have enough information to support a hoax, and a hoax-within-a-hoax, and extraterrestrial life (none of the above options being exclusive to each other.) With CSM gone, the Syndicate and Fat Man may not be so forgiving of Mulder and Scully. Skinner may or may not be working for someone else with a secret agenda, as implied by Fat Man's agitated phone call. Cloning has been going on for years (see "Colony," "End Game," & "Herrenvolk"), though Congress is just now catching on. A new biochemical angle has entered the arena, going by the name of "Roush." Scully's cancer is in remission. Tabasco sauce cures everything. And last but not least, Fox Mulder's devotion has turned from his estranged sister to his deserving partner, Dana Scully. Are there cherry bombs, a la Moonlighting, in the works? Two kisses in one episode, remember! The mind boggles.Home
