The following is the good news taught in the Bible:
- God created the universe. As our creator, He has the right to require obedience of us.
- Everyone since Adam has sinned and broken God's commands. Therefore, everyone is under God's wrath and curse and deserves nothing better than an eternity in Hell.
- God has not forsaken humankind. He sent His son, Jesus Christ, to provide a way for us to be saved from our sin. Jesus lived a sinless life and died on the cross so that sinners can come to God to ask for forgiveness.
- God will forgive all who repent of their sin and turn to Him, believing that Jesus died for their sins. Those whom God has saved must strive to keep His commandments.
God has forgiven me. By His grace only I have been made right in His sight. Jesus Christ is my Savior and my Lord, and I must seek to serve Him in all that I do. Living for Jesus provides purpose for my life.
You can have God's forgiveness too, if you repent and pray to God in faith. In fact you must do this to avoid eternal damnation.
Please email me if you have questions or want to discuss any of this. Churches in the following denominations (and many others) proclaim the Biblical truths outlined above. Find a church in your area that preaches the word:
