Comments: The band I'm in just traveled to Hawaii. We played on the U.S.S. Missouri and marched in a parade. It was very interesting to read about your band. It seems that you guys are pretty good. My band has participated in many of the same events that you al have. We've marched the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and The Cherry Blossom Parade. We've been to the Fiesta Bowl and the Rose Bowl. Comments: Aloha! This is the first time being on your site and I think it kicks! Our marching band up here in Indiana, the Penn Marching Kingsmen, have 290 marchers with 44 in the guard. Some things we've done is we've been to state finals the past 3 years placing th, 6th, and 8th this year. We've also marched in the Orange Bowl parade in Florida, the SpectraMagic parade in Orlando, and recieved top honors throughout the state. I'm not bragging but I thought I'd fill you in on some of the stuff going on up here in he nice 30 degree temperatures!! Hope to see you guys maybe in the Rose Bowl Parade in 2000! Comments: I was going through looking for PCHS information and lo and behold, I came across the band's web page. It totally rocks! It brought back fond memories of broiling in the hot sun during Well's week and having the rest of the band pick on us trumpet playe s. It was great going to the Rose Parade in Pasadena. I was part of the group when the band represented Hawaii as ambassadors for the 25th aniversary for statehood. I was also participated in Wind I and stage band. I no longer play trumpet but I do play guitar and bass guitar and play for a hula halau out here in L.A. and have been playing a few paying gigs. Having a PCHS music background certainly helped out in this. Go Chargers!

It brought back a lot of way old but fond memories -- I was in the PCHS marching band 1980 and '81 and got to march in the band's first appearance at the Tournament of Roses Parade. You guys still do the all-day practices in the middle of summer? Hope the football field is no longer filled with biting ants. These days, whenever I hear the term "woosie(s)," I remember how Frank Wells was the first person I heard say it, and how it was often directed at the trumpet ! Keep up the good work on the site.
