I'm so impressed on the PCHS band website!...I was just "curious" to see if the band had a website and sure enough I found one...nice job! I am one of the original, veterans of the band having graduated in 1980...we were the class that first had Mr Wells, first to march in the Pasadena Rose Parade, first to march in the Pro Bowl, first to have an "all-male" rifle line - which I founded and c rried on at UH...I also excelled in clarinet during the concert seasons/select band/solo & ensemble periods as 1st chair...later moved on to major in music ed at UH...then majored in business...went on to teach other high school marching bands locally wor ing for approximately seven years off and on...came back to PCHS briefly in 1988 to work with Marc Villanueva soon after a 10 year band reunion on behalf of Mr Nakasone...I can't believe that he's been there for over 20 years now!!! I still get to perform not as an instrumentalist but as an actor/singer with Diamond Head Theatre and have been involved in musical theatre since 1989...marching band performance had a great deal to do with my interest in broadway musicals since current b oadway hits were often performed on the field. Keep up the excellent work on the website...I hope you could somehow develop an archive of past shows performed since 1978...that's when the band first started to gain it's reputation...we opened the show with "STAR WARS" complete with r2d2, luke, leia, d rth vader, c3po...:-) All my love to the band members of 1978, 1979, 1980, 1981, 1982...and to the rest of the alumni too!!!!...marching in the band will always be in my memories forever!!!
