The Author

My name is Light Hawk and I am a senior and double major in History and French at the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana, Illinois. I decided to write this page because, as a student, I have always been interested in alternatives. So, I listen to alternative music, read and write fiction in magazines and articles in newspapers (if there are any prospective publishers out there, I'd love to send you some of my stuff), and I research what I call "alternative" religions. The subject of human religion has always fascinated me and, being a born again non-Christian, I've been free to look into many different avenues. So, I hope this gives you a little insight into who I am and why I wrote this site. If not, then just email me at trumpman99@yahoo.com.

The Project

This page was actually a project for my English and World Literature class in high school. We were given the option of writing a page about any topic that interested us, but that could be used to help other students in projects of their own. Unfortunately, the assignment went belly-up, so I had to seek a new place to put my work. This site has gone far beyond what the original project could have ever accomplished. I hope that by writing these pages, I will be able to help someone to understand religions and beliefs that are different from their own and help them to think about their own beliefs. Or, at least, use this site to write their essay on one religion or another. As I've said before, enjoy.
