Brochure  

 Aim:                       

 Produce a brochure which combines text  and graphics. (Word was chosen as the medium, even though it wasn't necessarily the most suitable program.)

 Objectives:                       

 That students:

                        Use file management techniques.

                        Access source information.      

                        Use a column format layout.

                        Insert text and graphics.

                        Use borders.

                        Insert WordArt and Autoshapes.

                        Experiment with presentation.

                        Use Spellcheck.       

                        Complete a satisfactory product.

 Materials:        

                        Sheet with instructions. ( electronic or paper)

                        Photos and text from the internet. (Source Information)

                        Source information was filed  on school server .  

Method:                                                                         

Students are to experiment, ask questions, observe their peers, read Help  and do what ever else it takes in order to achieve the objectives.

Good ideas could be shared. New information or photos could be scanned if students request.

Evaluation:             

 By teacher :                        Are all components  present?.

 By student:                         Overall presentation assessed.

 By class:                             What is a good brochure?
