What I care about passionately is that we not lie to ourselves.  We can present any image we want to the public but if we don't lie to ourselves about what we are, the rest will straighten itself out.

Mensa will ultimately be a great organization if it distinguishes itself from the rest of the world in a way that people need.  It will have its own ecological niche in the world because it's doing something that nobody else in the world is, and it won't require any justification.
