Mensa has an identity problem--why exist?  Varied interests and background of members is an advantage and a disadvantage.  As an organization of people, we are still too naive, but many of us wish to identify with something "bigger" than us that is obviously "better."  But Mensa will persist, despite internal problems, as it has.  It is persistent.
