Before I converted I researched Islam by browsing on the internet and also by reading a couple of introductory books about Islam. But the most important book to read in order to learn about Islam is the Quran. If you are interested in learning about Islam, that is where you should start. However, you must always bear in mind, that the Quran was revealed in Arabic, and when you read a translation you are reading an interpretation of the word of God, not the word of God as it was revealed. Therefore it is good to get a translation, which includes a lot of explanations and references.So, are you interested in starting to read the Quran?
