Beginning of Ramadan 2001 Announcement

Ramadan is the 9th month of the Islamic calander and is considered the holy month of muslims, because it was in this month that the first Quranic revelations came to Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). In Ramadan, muslims are required to fast from dawn to sunset and in doing so they need to abstain from all food, drink, smoking and sexual relations.
It is also a month to reflect spiritually. During this month, muslims try to pray more, read more Quran and be on their best behavior.

Then, after Ramadan ends, there is a tree day festival called Eid ul Fitr.
