In the beginning, I thought it would be easy to write about myself. I would just
sit down and write. I had met so many people during my lifetime that telling my
life story became very commonplace for me. Nevertheless, when I started working
on this page, I realized I should make it interesting and entertaining. I knew
then that I was in a little trouble. |

| Well, my name is Svetlana. It is a very popular Russian name. My nickname is
Sveta. To my family, I'm Svetochka, and to my friends, I'm Svetka. I've heard
one more variation of my name: the American version is Lana. The French version is Claire, the Italian one is Chiara. I want to assure
you that I like them all. |

There is nothing special about the date of my birth except that my mother, my
father, and I are all Taurus. My husband isn't; nevertheless, we are
astronomical relatives because he is a Capricorn. |

| As a child, I was shy, very diligent, an avid
reader, and extremely fond of fine arts.
However, as a university student,
I had a complete transformation. So here I am today: friendly and outgoing, working as a
foreign language teacher, an interpreter, who speaks 4 languages, fond of
travelling and sport, a
loving mother, daughter and wife. |
