France I had never been in France
until August, 1999.
My husband and I decided to spend our two free
days in Paris even though we knew that it
wouldn't be enough time. What do I recall now:
cafes and restaurants on every corner, a huge
variety of cheese and wine, the Eiffel Tower
in the afternoon and at night, disappointing,
associating the image of Paris as a city of
love, many tourists and boutiques, fancy items
for tourists to purchase. See this city for
yourself.
I was there for about a month,
quite enough
time to get the feeling of the country;
houses have tile roofs and are neat and
cozy; various types of trains and cars;
friendly people; a splendid summer vacation.
In spite of visiting so many beautiful
places, Russia is my Motherland. It is so
big that I'm not sure I'll ever be able
to explore it all. Here are my favorite
places around Saint Petersburg.
