1. Brainstorm with students to list the names of as many heroes they can think of who, in some way, resisted the Nazis-- either by force, by refusal to go along with their actions, or by managing to maintain their dignity despite inhuman circumstances.

3. Have students write, in a journal-type reflection, which person discussed made the greates impression upon them, and why.
