Regards Abbas Jaffer Moderator - ABDG-A. ............................................................................ Question: I understand that Allah and the Holy Prophet may have discouraged women from attending Jamaat and Juma Prayers. I also understand that women in certain parts of the Muslim World are now ncouraged to participate in such congregational prayers. Please discuss this issue in detail with references and give us your point of view. ................................................................................ It is better for women to recite prayers where they are best protected from Na Mahram, whether this is in a mosque or at home. However if women are present when the Jamaat prayers are being recited they may join if possible. See Masail 903, Ayatullah Seestani's Islamic Laws. Asgharali M M Jaffer
