Nowadays, the importance of the Chinese-speaking areas of the world to New Zealand no longer needs to be argued. However, misunderstanding about China and Chinese attitudes is still widespread. To try to reduce the number and the extent of these areas of misunderstanding, the centre concentrates of three main activities:
The provision of educational services.
Teaching of language and culture
Other activities
arranging short-term courses and seminars for other groups and organisations on Chinese language and/or culture
correspondence courses
providing tutors in other languages
