Trying out my new digital camera, I went downtown to the zoo (next page) and historic Oakland Cemetery.

The large burial ground includes a section of Confederate dead, plus a section for Jewish dead and blacks, and the cemetery contains the remains of many of the city's founders and officials from the last 150 years.
