This is true, all true, without lie. That which is above is That which is below, and That which is below is That which is above. All is One. Through contemplation, this One differs in nature and perspective, yet remains One. Its Father is the Sun (yang), Its Mother is the Moon (yin). Breath gives It Life, the Earth feeds It. It is the root of all Will. It's energy is infinite and eternal. It is Knowledge and Matter. Seperate the Knowledge from the Matter, the Will from the Instinct with wisdom and insight. It ascends from below to above, then descends from above to below, and gathers strength from the recognition of both as One. Thus It is enlightened and destroys all obscurity and ignorance. Its strength is all strength, commanding all things subtle and subduing all things crude. This is how our world was created. Great Works are accomplished by this method. I have been named Hermes Trismegistus. I am the Teacher of the Three parts of the wisdom of the World. My speech is finished concerning the Work of the Sun. |
