Concerning the idea of exalting ourselves above the stars (angels) of god:
according to the Holy Qur'an this was god's intention.

How can light and hell be symbolized by the same
thing when one is desirable and the other is not?
Easily, when we turn our knowledge towards our own
weaknesses, the light within us grows.

With this Jesus left, possibly regretting the preceding and consequent chain of events.
