The News
|
At the end of February, it was announce in "Comics International Magazine" that Todd Dezago, current writer for Impulse, had made a statement that Impulse would be cancelledat issue #89. Of course that set a wave of disturbance with all the Impulse fans and many comic-related message boards started to fill with the bad news. Now, before I read the message at said message board, I had read another message. It was a message concerning the upcoming issues of the Mini-series "World without Young Justice". In it the writer made a comment that only three issues where left. Now this strike me as odd, but I didn’t pay any attention about it, to bad I didn't.
After only 24 hours of knowing about the cancellation and hopefully that it was just another internet rumor, the Fat Lady sung. Todd appeared in his Tellos Message Board and told everyone that it was true, but that wasn't the worst part, he told his fans that it was too late to do anything. Man, was that a punch below the belt or what.

Taking Action
|
Well the news of the cancellation didn't take well with the many Impulse fans over the internet and it was a matter of time before someone took action. That action came in the form of a petition. The "Save Impulse Petition" was started almost immediately, if not sooner, after the message of the cancellation.
And that's what I, and all Impulse fans, urge you to do. If you like Impulse, even a little, please click on the banner below and sign the petition. It may be late to save the current series but there might be a chance that DC Comics realize they are making a huge mistake and in the future re-enlist Impulse in the DC Universe. I'm not saying that Impulse is going to DCU Limbo, he will still be part of Young Justice, but everyone knows that he is better portrayed in his own series.
After a good amount of signatures are collected, I will print them up and ship them to DC Comics. I don't know the exact amount of signatures needed to make it happen, but I guess 1,000 is a pretty round number.
