Catholic Church | "If anyone says that the sinner is justified by faith alone, meaning that nothing else is required to cooperate in order to obtain the grace of justification, and that it is not in any way necessary that he be prepared and disposed by the action of his own will, let him be anathema." Scriptures | But now the righteousness of God
without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; Even the
righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that
believe: for there is no difference: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of
god; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
Whom God hat set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his
righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; To
declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier
of him which believeth in Jesus. Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith
without the deeds of the law. ~Romans 3:21-26,28 Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins: And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses. ~Acts 13:38-39 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain. ~Galatians 2:21 |
