Marilyn Hontz, wife of Dr. Paul Hontz, (Lynnelle's pastor).
"Lynnelle has sought to cultivate the fruit of the Spirit in her life. This process
did not happen overnight. It took time, effort, perseverance, and times of total
dependency on Jesus Christ. As a result, Lynnelle lives out what she writes. She is
a dear "Jesus-Spirit friend" and a great role model of one who walks in step with the Spirit."
"God is faithful. We can always count on that. But can He count on our faithfulness?"
"His love is truly lasting and absolutely unconditional. He demonstrated that on the cross."
"I behave the way I behave because I believe what I believe!"
"Remember that because of sin there is physical death, but a heart without
Jesus will experience spiritual death—hell. Those are the cold, hard facts.
Can't you feel God's love when He asks you, "Where are you?"
It is not His will that any perish (2Peter 3:9)."
"None of us wants to admit this, but if we are honest with ourselves, we realize there
are times when we feel we had better help the Lord out with the plan He has for
our lives. I don't know why we keep doing that; God's will for us is pleasing
and perfect (Romans 12:2). I guess we just seem to forget that, especially
when God's will causes us to wait, or when it goes against all human logic."
"It's impossible for our limited earthly minds to even comprehend heaven. We can
know that it will be worth everything we've had to go through down here when
we see heaven, and most importantly, when we see Jesus."
"God gave Noah a rainbow as an "I love you" sign, but He gave us the best
"I love you" sign in the shape of a cross, with His own Son hanging on it
for you and me."
"Have you looked into your mirror lately and seen that life-changing miracle
in your life? If not, it's not too late to recognize that you're going the wrong way.
Turn your life around and let the miracle begin!"
Have you ever found yourself in the middle of difficult circumstances and wondered,
in all the earth. The whole earth is filled with Your glory. We are in awe of who You are.
Thank You for granting us the undeserved privilege of coming into Your presence from wherever
we are and whatever we are doing.
May You find our hearts filled with love for You, and may
the overflow of our hearts produce actions that please You and fulfill the mission You have ordained
for us.
Father, we are sinners, and our sins hurt You so. We pray for Your forgiveness and cleansing.
How lost we would be without Your grace! Words cannot thank You enough, so may our lives
of service demonstrate our gratitude.
Lord, God, my personal petition is that this book will be not
just mere words on a page, but rather a learning tool that You use to teach all of us how much You
love to communicate with Your children.
We open ourselves up to Your teaching through
the power of Your sweet Holy Spirit.
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen
We need that intimate communication with God; it revitalizes our spiritual lives and
makes our relationships with the Lord more real and meaningful. The more
we experience that intimacy and open our lives to personal prayer with Him, the more
we recognize prayer’s power source - God.
“Where can I go for help?” As always, the answer is, “To the Lord.”
There is no one better. And the beautiful reality is that you don’t have far
to go because the Lord is right there in the middle of your circumstances, waiting
for you to reach out (remember, prayer is the “heart changer and mountain mover”)
and find that He is all-sufficient.
