The GFL 2005 Rules
The Draft
Each team owner will draft six players to compete in each tournament
of the fantasy golf season. The draft order will be determined by a
random drawing prior to the draft. The odd rounds of the draft will
follow the draft order while the even rounds will follow the reverse
draft order.
The Season
The fantasy golf season will begin with the The Players Championship
and finish with the PGA Championship. Fantasy golf tournaments will be
made up of the weekly PGA tournaments and the four Majors.. For any
weekend that has two events, such as a PGA tournament held the same week
as a Major, only the feature tournament will be counted.
Transactions
A golfer not currently on any team can be picked up at anytime. If
the transaction happens by Wednesday, the golfer will be activated for
the tournament beginning that Thursday. Anytime after Wednesday, the
golfer will be activated for the following week’s tournament. All
trades must be balanced so that each team will always have five golfers.
Scoring System
The scoring system is based on actual prize money from the
tournaments including the Majors. There is no Tiger Rule for 2004 and
beyond.
