Today I went on an airplane ride with Mommy & Daddy. We woke up early
in the morning to get an 8 a.m. flight back East. I got to sit in my baby
seat near the window, and once the plane started taxi-ing, I was happy. (I
got a little cranky sitting in there waiting for the plane to move.) I slept
most of the ride.
When we got to the other airport, I met my Aunt Mary, Uncle Bob and Grand-Dad!
Then Bob and Daddy took the luggage and I went with Mommy and Grand-Dad and
Aunt Mary back to NJ, where Nana was waiting anxiously to finally meet me.
Everyone thinks I'm adorable, of course!

Today I found out I like TV. Nana had on CNN, and I became fascinated with
the "crawl" at the bottom of the screen. Then she put cartoons on for me,
and I was fascinated. I watched TV for the rest of my vacation. My favorites
were Dora the Explorer and Bob the Builder. I also like when Nana sings to
me and rocks me.

Today was Mommy's birthday, so Daddy took her to PF Chang's. She
can't believe she came all the way to NJ to go to a restaurant that we have
in Arizona, and with only Daddy and me! But she had a great time -- it was
very quiet and I slept the whole time.
I also have been working for weeks on my thumbsucking, and finally got the
hang of it today.
Finally, my thumb!

I went to a nice Asian restaurant with Mommy, Daddy, Aunt Mary and Uncle
Bob. I slept under the table until the very end, and then started fussing.
They had an aquarium and I thought that was pretty neat. I just hope it's
not where Uncle Bob's sushi came from!
Jan. 25
I went to a party at Mommy's friend Karen's and met lots of Mommy's friends.
I was so tired I fell asleep sitting up on Mommy's lap -- I'd never done that
before!
Jan. 26
We came home from NJ and I watched my first Superbowl with Daddy. Mommy
was pretty sick.
Jan. 27
I went with Mommy to her doctor on base today -- she has another breast
infection, but she got medicine to get better quick.

I had my
2-month checkup today! I cried when I got check out, and
really cried when I got my four shots, but I calmed down quickly. I got four
Bugs Bunny bandages, two on each upper thigh. Daddy came with us and he held
me and soothed me while I got the shots. Mommy was doing the paperwork and
before she knew it I was done. I fell asleep on the way home and stayed asleep
long enough for Daddy to get a haircut and Mommy to go into the BX for Baby
Tylenol. She gave me some when I got home -- I had never tasted anything but
breastmilk or formula, and it was good!!

We went to the mall today. Daddy showed Mommy how I open my mouth wide when
he holds up a pacifier. She didn't know I did that. As we walked past KB Toys,
Daddy held up the walking, oinking pig to show me. It oinked at me and wrinkled
it's nose, and I screamed! I did not like that pig one bit.

I am grabbing things (rattle, links, burpie cloth) and cramming them in
my mouth these days. It was very windy today. Mommy took me to the golf course
to see if Daddy and his team won the Commander's Cup tournament (he did --
his name is on a trophy in the pro shop lobby now). When we got out of the
car and the wind hit my face, I smiled. I like wind! (Mommy says I also break
wind, but I don't get it ...) I also noticed we have a dog. Usually, we just
ignore each other, but I'm starting to think he might be fun to grab.

Today I went with Mommy to Daddy's eye doctor appointment. He was in there
for at least 90 minutes and I was tired and hungry, but didn't cry. Mommy
said she can't believe what a sweet, happy baby she has. I ate for 45 minutes
and took a three-hour nap once we finally got home, though.
Feb. 12
Mom said I'm talking too much today. I like to say, "Mem, mem, mem, mem
..." We had lots and lots of rain. Aunt Rere sent me some clothes so Mommy
dressed me up for a picture in them.
Feb. 14
Today was my first Valentine's Day. Daddy got Mommy a card from me, and
she got one for him. She made one of his favorite foods -- chicken and dumplings
-- and for dessert they had a giant Herrshey's Kiss that Daddy bought her.
They said it was their best Valentine's Day ever.

Daddy played golf today, while back East they are getting 20 inches of snow!
Mommy is sad that she's missing it, but Daddy's not. I think I'm with
him on this one. It looks cold there!
