Aidan's Christening Day

Aidan Michael was christened Jan. 19, 2003 at St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church in Medford, NJ (where his mommy and daddy were married).
His godparents were his Aunt Kerry and his cousin Rob.

Aidan's gown (and hat) were handknit by his Great-Aunt Adeline for his cousin Lauren in 1983. His cousins Brian and Claire also wore them.
He wore duckie pajamas underneath because it was SO cold out -- 14 degrees! -- and Eagles booties from Kerry.

The christening party had a football theme. It was a big day in South Jersey, as the Philadelphia Eagles were taking on the Tampa Bay Bucs at Veterans Stadium for a Super Bowl berth. As we left the church to head to Kerry & Bill's for the party, an F-16 (or maybe more than one) did a flyover on the way to the Vet. Aidan was unimpressed -- we see and hear them all the time at home!

It wasn't a good day for Eagles fans.
But the LONE Tampa Bay fan was pretty happy!

Aidan slept for much of the party. He did wake up when the Eagles blew the game and everyone started yelling, "Boo!" and "Oh, no!"
