..10. VALERY BORDELON, tenth child of Antoine Bordelon I and third of his marriage to Marguerite Frederic, was born about 1783. His baptismal record has not been found. This birth date is estimated from the US Census of 1850, which gives his age as 67 years. Valery Bordelon married, at Avoyelles, Constance Joffrion, born Sep 1, 1784, at Pointe Coupee, daughter of Joseph Joffrion (the Alcalde) and Francoise Bouchard. onstance Joffrion died in Nov, 1831, and Valery Bordelon married, his second, on October 8, 1840, Celeste Joffrion, daughter of Joseph Joffrion and Madeleine Bizet (Bissette) and widow of Augustin Marcotte. Of the marriage of Valery Bordelon and Constance Joffrion, there were at least six children:

We have no knowledge of issue. it appears that Olive Mayeux died shortly after her marriage, as Celestin Bordelon is living with the Joseph Mayeux family in 1850. Celestin Bordelon then married, on Jan 25, 1853, Euzeline (Zeline) Bordelon, born 1837, daughter of Joseph Bordelon and Marie Dubroc. There was issue of: (a) Celestine Bordelon, born Mar 20 1854, married Alfred Mayeux. (b) Leopold Bordelon, born Nov 19, 1855. (c) Joseph Remi Bordelon, born January 7, 1858, married Marie Octavine Bordelon, daughter of Evariste L, Bordelon and Lovinia Juneau. (d) Ceran Bordelon, born 1861, married Lea Dufour. We know that Zeline Mayeux, wife of Appolinaire Bordelon, was deceased by March 6, 1849, as Appolinaire married on that date Marie Louise Rabalais, born Aug, 1812, widow of Julien Riche and daughter of Martin Rabalkais and Eloise Lemoine. We know of one child of this second marriage, Louis Landry Bordelon, born Jan 11, 1851.
