~*~ Chapter 19 ~*~

AJ watched Kevin walk out then turned back to Janis and sighed.

"Are you ok?" Janis asked
"Yah, I'm fine. I was just really scared when I saw you at the gas station…your
eyes were closed and… there was blood on your… clothes…I didn't know what to
expect."
"But I'm still here." She said softly
"Yah, you are." He smiled. His smile soon turned into a straight face. "I'm
sorry I didn't tell you about Shawn…About who he was and why he was doing this."
"You didn't have to…Not right now anyway…Just…Stay with me." She said
"I will." He said kissing her hand.

After a short time, Kevin came back with the others. As soon as they saw her
they wanted to cry, but held it in. She had a bandaged cut on her head, a cut
lip, and a bruised cheek. They felt incredibly sorry for her, but tried not to
show that also.

The five of them surrounded her bed talking to her, getting her mind off the
pain and thoughts, Janis could barely keep her eyes open, but she still didn't
want to sleep. The nurse eventually forced her to. She told the guys they
couldn't stay for the rest of the night and suggested they go home and get some
sleep also. After saying their good-byes, Janis watched her boys walk out. Her
body was so tired and heavy, two seconds later she closed her eyes and fell FAST
asleep.

(THE NEXT MORNING)

Janis opened her eyes and saw the sunshine coming though the window. She slowly
stretched, careful not to irritate her stomach. She looked to the direction of
the door, but a curtain blocked her way. Thinking nothing of it, she turned her
head and closed her eyes.

"Excuse me," A voice said
Janis looked in front of her bed, and saw Celbie face to face with the wall.
"I was wondering if you could tell me where the psychiatric ward is? I'm
supposed to meet a friend there."
"Celbie!?" Janis called, laughing
Celbie jumped, then looked above her head. "Yes, God?" She said, finally turning
around. She looked at Janis and jumped back, hitting the wall. "Whoa…. I'm
sorry… I thought you were someone else."
"Who you talkin' to there Celbie?" Janis asked, lifting an eyebrow
"Oh, this is…" Celbie jumped back and gasped, "Where'd he go?!?" She said,
felling the wall.
Janis closed her eyes and started laughing.
"Huh?!?… Weird!!" Celbie said walking towards the bed, looking back to the wall
to double-check. She walked to the side of the bed and smiled at Janis'
laughter. "Hi there!" Celbie said, sitting on the bed next to her.
"Hi," Janis said, finally relaxing. "Whooo, that hurt."
"Sorry." Celbie said giggling
"No, it's ok. I needed it…I was expecting to see you."
"Well… Brian told me about everything and…I wanted to surprise you…That's why I
closed the curtain. I needed to hide myself." Celbie smiled. "So how you doin'?"
she asked
"I'm ok…doin better now!" Janis answered

They sat there smiling at each other for a second, until Celbie spoke.

"Oh, I have something for you." Celbie jumped off the bed, and pulled back the
curtain. She picked up a tiny bouquet of fake flowers, small enough to fit in
her hand, tied to a big balloon.
"Here you go!"
Janis looked at the tiny bouquet of flowers and smiled.
"Awww…this is so cute…thank you!"
"I picked it up on the way over here. You're name was written all over it, so I
had to get it...Plus, it was all I could afford. Heheheh!!" Celbie said
laughing. "Speaking of money, I got a job...And I was wondering if you needed
one. That way, I can keep you company until Nick comes back.... Oh, sorry, I
meant AJ." Celbie smiled and looked down in shame. "Oops." She said softly to
herself.
"I know what you meant." Janis said smiling
"But…umm…I'm not…staying here," She said slowly. "Thanks for the offer though."
"Yah…no problem" She paused… "Umm…do you think you could call me, say… I don't
know… everyday???… Cause I'm gonna need someone to talk to… about Nick… and you
could use me for AJ, so it works our perfectly!" Celbie smiled again. "I just..
I don't want to loose this new friendship with you."
"Don't worry Poo-J, we won't."
