The time had come for Janis to leave. The time no one wanted. They all put on
their best attitudes towards this and kept themselves from showing any sadness.
Basically, to prevent from bringing each other down.
They have all been through so much together within one month, and it was hard
to put it on hold. As long as they knew in their hearts that the relationship
they started was going to keep going, thew you be happy. As for Kevin and Janis,
this single month only made their friendship stronger.
Janis was almost completely healed. Her strength was almost normal and most of
her scratched and bruises were barely visible.
She and Celbie were talking on the couch while the guys were scattered around
the house.
"This is my home number, work number, address, and my work schedule so you know
where I'm at." Celbie said smiling
"Are you serious?" Janis asked, taking the paper.
"No, it's just two numbers and an address. I just wanted to see what you'd do."
Celbie laughed
Celbie stood up to take her glass to the kitchen just as AJ and Howie took a
seat. Nick was already in the kitchen talking to Kevin and Brian on the other
side of the counter. Nick motioned that Celbie was coming and Brian and Kevin
turned to look.
"OOO!" Brian whispered as they both turned to walk away. Not knowing which
direction to go, Brian and Kevin slammed into each other before making their way
to the radio.
Celbie put her glass in the sink and turned to see Nick staring right back at
her.
"I hope you aren't gonna stop coming over here just because Janis isn't here."
Nick said
"Well, I.."
"You better not, we like your company." A voice said.
Nick turned to Brian and Kevin standing there. The two looked back at Nick and
noticed his facial expression. Catching the hint, they tried to play it off.
"Yes AJ?" Brian asked turning around
"Coming Howie!!" Kevin said running out of the room.
Brian and Kevin walked out of the kitchen to see two really confused faces.
"I didn't say anything to you Rok." AJ said
"Yah, and I didn't call you Kev." Howie added
Brian and Kevin just sighed, looked at each other and walked away. Celbie
watched with a questioned look.
"So, are you coming back tonight?" Nick asked
"Yah, I guess I am…I have to admit though, it will be a little weird."
"Why?" Nick said
"Because, I unexpectedly popped in, out of nowhere. I've only known you guys for
a short time, and I'm acting like it's no problem. To tell the truth, I feel bad
about it. I just kind of, barged into your lives."
"Well, of course you would feel bad if you think of it that way…. Yah, it was
unexpected, but we didn't mind, Like they said, we like your company. Besides,
it's like a reunion for you and Brian."
"Yah, it is." She smiled looking in the living room and seeing Brian tackle Nick
to the ground and give him a noogie.
"That's how it started with Janis and Kevin. This was a little reunion for them
too. The rest of us got to know Janis really quickly. Now I was to get to know
you."
Celbie smiled and blushed. She kept her breathing calm while she tried to think
of something to say. Luckily, Kevin came to her rescue.
"Sorry to interrupt, but I have to take Janis now, it's 7 o'clock." He said
Only one person was taking Janis to the airport, mainly for safety reasons, so
Janis had to say her good-byes early.
Janis walked up to Celbie lifting her eyebrows. "Saw that!" She said smiling.
"So are you gonna stay here?"
"No, I think I'm gonna go home. I don't think it's the perfect day." Celbie
said.
Janis quickly hugged Celbie goodbye and did the same to Nick, Brian, and Howie.
Janis walked up to AJ, then turned to look at the others. They all stood there
staring back.
"Car…I should start the car…" Kevin said grabbing the others. (That's the second
time you've done that today, man) Kevin said to himself shaking his head. They
all walked outside and closed the door.
Janis turned and looked back at AJ who was staring at her.
"Call me as soon as you get home." He said
"I will." She said softly
They pressed their bodies together in a tight hug.
They didn't know exactly what to say to each other, so they didn't say anything
at all. Janis could feel tears forming, but she couldn't hold it in. She looked
back at him and leaned in for a last passionate kiss. She then turned around and
walked out the door. AJ stood there until he heard the car leave. He whipped the
tars from his cheek, and looked out the window as the car drove off. "I love you
Janis." He whispered into the air shortly before he broke down, and walked to
his room.
