"MARGIE'S JAMBALAYA"
INGREDIENTS |
1 lb Sausage |
2 Stalks Celery |
1 lb Shrimp |
1 Large Onion |
1 lb Ham |
1 Large Bell Pepper |
1 Can French Onion Soup |
1 Bunch Grn. Onions |
1 Can Rotel Tomatoes |
4 Cloves Garlic |
2 Tbls. Oil |
3 Cups Raw Rice |
1 Cup Water |
Season to taste |

Cut Sausage into 1/2" slices. Clean and De-vein shrimp.
Cube cooked Ham. Brown
these in oil, in a 5 quart Dutch Oven or Corningware.
Add onion, celery, bell pepper, and garlic. Cook until onions are wilted. Add
the rest of ingredients. Mix well. Cover Dutch Oven, reduce heat,
and cook on low until rice is cooked.
Or cover Corningware and bake in oven at 350 degrees for one hour.
Stir occasionally.
Serve Hot!

Jambalaya is derived from the French name for Ham(jambon).
This is one variation of the
many ingredients that can go into a jambalaya. Seafood or meat or in combination can go into the dish, but rice is always included.
And, of course, Don't forget the seasoning
which is what makes any cajun dish taste great!
