- MTV news #2: (May 17th 1999) No less than the master himself, Baz Luhrmann has decided to make a living in the music business...the new MTV hit "Everybody's Free (To Wear Sunscreen)" is now a reality. I don't know if it really is the master himself who made the song, but I sure know that it is totally crazy!
- February 22nd:-Rumour of Baz Luhrmann directing "Cosi" denied. I just checked out The Internet Movie Database today and there I saw that "Cosi" was directed by Mark Joffe. The movie stars former "Strictly Ballroom" (Baz Luhrmann) stars like Barry Otto and a cameo performance by Paul Mercurio, but it is not directed by the director of "Romeo & Juliet". As far as I know Baz Luhrmann is not planning on directing a new movie.
- -February 16th 1999:-Good news for all Shakespeare fans: A new movie is in the cinemas right now: "Shakespeare in Love" starring Joseph Fiennes and Gwyneth Paltrow.
- -new movie "The Beach" is starring Leonardo DiCaprio. He refused to play in the movie "American Psycho", even when they offered him 20,4 million dollars for this role and everything was planned.
- -This summer Claire Danes was co-starring in a movie called "Polish Wedding". Here she played a wild and uncontrollable teenagegirl sneaking out at night to meet boys. One day she gets pregnant. The whole thing turns out to be a warm and happy comedy. The movie also stars Gabriel Byrne and Lena Olin and has come out on video to rent.
