page 5 "The Republicans...have compiled...the slowest economic growth, slowest job
growth and slowest income growth since the Great Depression."
***96 straight months of economic growth, 19 million new jobs

***so, the Reagan military expenditures won the Cold War
page 24 "During the 1980s the White House staff routinely took taxpayers for a ride to
play golf or bid on rare stamps"

page 57 "...Operation Clean Sweep in Chicago, which helps residents take their housing back"
***but it suspends their constitutional rights, and has been declared unconstitutional
page 119 on Haiti: "Reverse the Bush policy, and oppose repatriation"
***Clinton has changed his policy 9 times at current count, ended up following Bush
page 121"...we supported President Bush’s efforts to throw Saddam Hussein out of Kuwait"
***then why did Clinton call it just a war for oil
page 137 on Bush: "his failure to articulate clear goals or a rationale for an engaged foreign policy has fueled a dangerous new isolationism.” “We need a President who can set clear goals to the American people the importance of an international engagement"
***WHAT?!!! Somalia, Bosnia, Haiti, North Korea, where was the decisiveness?
page 157 "...the Bush administration erred by extending MFN trade status to the People’s Republic of China... we should not reward China with improved trade status when it... has failed to make progress on human rights..."
***Slick Willie renewed MFN, and only put on sanctions when it cost American
companies money and not when Chinese citizens are murdered or put in slavery
page 163 "Make resolution of the POW/MIA issue a national priority by insisting on a full
accounting of all POWs and MIAs before normalizing relations with Vietnam"
***and what did Slick Willie do? reversed the policy without a full accounting,
national priority, whatever
page 170 establishes position against parental notification and waiting periods, in effect
‘abortion on demand.’ However, throughout the book expresses support for the
Brady Bill and a waiting period for guns.
***so, one must wait to protect themselves, but can kill a baby anytime
page 178 "Arkansas boasts... the highest High School graduation rate in the region"
***and 47th overall
page 178 "Clinton has cut the state’s infant mortality rate almost in half by 1978"
***but the DEATH rate is 3rd highest in the union, and 20,000 abortions occurred.
page 178 "Clinton has also guided into law a Health Care Access Law and a law that will
make basic coverage for all Arkansans"
***but Arkansas has the 13th highest percent of population not covered by health
insurance; and the health care of the state ranked DEAD LAST in the union
page 193 October 3, 1993 Announcement Speech: "I pledge to the American people that
in the first year of a Clinton administration we will present a plan to Congress and
the American people to provide affordable, quality health care for all Americans."
***no such plan submitted first year, plan created huge bureaucracy, never passed
