While students have to scrape by without any grant and barely adequate loans, paying ever higher fees. While the universities and schools are over-crowded and under-resourced, scraping by with inadequate facilities, the billionaire House of Windsor is feted at the Woolaton Road, Jubilee campus. What more deserving family to have a free banquet dinners than the supremely rich Windsors who can only just subsist on their hundreds of thousands of acres of inherited land and their hundreds of millions of pounds worth of subsidy? The only way change will occur is if we make known our grievances.

The Royals' role is often portrayed as being symbolic, even if this is so - what exactly is it symbolic of? Most students, even those pathetically right wing ex-public school jerks claim that they dislike discrimination - but along comes the top person in the country who can only get it by being white and born into the correct family and we're supposed to find that acceptable - what is more prejudiced than that?

If this was their only short-coming it would be more than enough to earn our undying hatred - but the Royals insidious influence on our lives, communities and social relationships goes much further. As head of the armed forces, and commanders-in-chief of numerous regiments, the Windsors have a pivotal role in supporting militaristic efforts at home and abroad. They even boast of their sway in promoting arms sales to dictatorships.

The advocacy of bloodsports, their central role in maintaining the influence of inherited wealth and land and their anti-social and racist views, can no longer be tolerated:

Dress in black as a sign of protest, bring banners, whistles, masks and a carnival atmosphere. (Don't tell your parents or lecturers you are going - because what you are doing is very naughty and may stop you landing that special job in the City)

The Queen's coming to the Exclusive Nottingham University to officially open the Jubilee Campus, Woolaton Road, on Thursday 9 December.
