MATCH REPORT: MET POLICE LOSE AGAIN - AUDACIOUS ATTACK BECOMES OWN GOAL<, February 2004/b>
On July 4th 2002, there was a police roundup and arrest of citizens who had the audacity not to support the waste-of-time that was the Jubilee celebrations. over 50 were placed into detention, most without any pretext of a charge. they were bussed around London for the day to prevent them make their protest known. After a long legal battle it looks as though the Met' have finally apologised and some sort of compenstion will be paid. After costs, many of those arratested hope to use whatever is left of their wedge for some sort of anti-monarchy event. The plan is that to restore balance. The Met sought to illegally prevent the exercise of dissent against our rulers, so their compensation fund will be used to promote another. At the moment as exact amounts are still unknown, plans are still fairly loose, but we'll keep you informed.

19.10.02 - A discussion document, compiled by MA'Msters, reviewing our successes and our failures has been compiled. It will also examine possible future directions for MA'M. It should be available on the website and at the Anarchist bookfair by this date. We welcome feedback and constructive suggestions. To join a discussion email group on MA'M sign up at the bottom of the main Index page.

21.09.02 - The Countryside Alliance are holding a 'Liberty Night' Party in central London, near London Bridge station. London Animal Action are organising a demonstration against the aristo animal torturers outside the venue, a club called 'The Bridge' in Weston St, SE1, from 7pm-onwards. They are meeting first outside WH Smiths inside the main part of London Bridge Station at 6.30pm, and then moving off shortly before 7pm. They ask for support - bringing banners, placards, whistles, etc. Wanting a demo that is as loud and eye-catching as possible. Let's make sure this is a party they never forget.
Contact Paul at London Animal Action for more details on:
paul@londonaa.demon.co.uk

22.09.02 - Camilla Parker Bowles is planning on joining her other sicko aristo pals on the Countryside Alliance March in opposition to a government bill opposing Hunting with Hounds. Tory Leader Ian Someone-Smith will also be taking part. Prince Charles is giving paid leave to all his lackeys who want to go on this march (funny how this offer doesn't apply to anti-War or Anti-Third WorldDebt demos). MA'M will be joining in the counter-demonstration against the Royals and their sadistic display of privilege. Watch out for more details or join the email group on the main page.

30.04.02 - Well done to the 30+ London MAMsters who turned up to the local CHOKE ON IT! Demo against the Royals at 10 Downing Street. A bonus was that Blair and his mother Thatcher were also there. A few drinks and a good time was had by all. The first event in the calander of anti-royalist activities got off without an arrest being made. That's twice we've managed it, despite the local plod being a bit pissed off with our 'good riddance' stickers. 09.04.02 - Stickers for the anti-jubilee and colourful 'good riddance Queen Mum' available from MA'M, PO Box 14672, London, E9 5UQ. A few pence per sticker and a donation towards postage would be appreciated. Check ot rest of the website for our next upcoming events on 29.04.02 outside Downing Street, Whitehall, London at 6pm.

07.04.02 APOLOGY
Jeez this page hasn't been updated for ages, dunno how that happened. Can't remember all that we've done, there were some anti-hunt actions prior to foot-and-mouth, a Xmas drink up and of course some public meetings were organised to co-ordinate anti-Jubilee fun. One of these meetings, the London one (20.03.02) was covered in THE SUNDAY MIRROR and OBSERVER newspapers. The Sunday Mirror reporter claimed he heroically 'infiltrated' the event. Which made the meeting sound very sinister. How the journo managed such a feat is amazing. After all it was a public event, advertised on the website, leaflets and posters. So infiltrating it is a bit like infiltrating a football match by paying to get in. Keep an eye on other parts of the website which will keep you up to date on our latest plans.

ROYALS BARRACKED 7.02.01
London Mamsters were uninvited guests at the Press Complaints dinner, where Prince Charles and Camilla were feted by newspaper editors and other professional fraudsters. Anti-monarchists voiced their own exuberant complaints at the continued existence of the Windsors.

MA'M Social 22.10.00
London MA'M held a highly enjoyable social at the Community Centre, Summit Estate, London. Despite the efforts of one tag who sabotaged the signs to the hall, leaving some lost on another estate - a good night was had by all. Summit has a top sound system and makes a great venue - thanks to Pat for arranging it.

MA'M Benefit Gig 15.10.00
Great Fun and nearly 100 people attended a MA'M benefit at Arsenal Tavern, London - raising nearly 100 quid for MA'M thanks to all the bands, including the ever popular Oi Polloi.

QUEEN MUM'S BIRTHDAY SPECTACULAR - AUGUST 4TH, 2000
A great day out. plenty of drinking through the streets of Hackney, as East London Mamsters paraded their effigy of the Queen Mum. The welcome was always friendly. The tiny counter demonstration held by the British Legion, stirred up by Tory Hackney mayor [a Conservative mayor of Hackney is that right? - ed], who seemed to take offence at criticism of the former-Nazi loving Queen Mum, only seemed to add to the joviality of the occasion. And for the second time in a year, a MA'M demo with NO ARRESTS.

London MA'M Sends Camilla and Charles Running
A great result on June 20th, with a dozen anti-monarchists springing a surprise on Charles and his escort. Camilla's first semi-official engagement with the Pimp of Wales. Their reception at the hands of a dozen local anti-royalists including many on the MA'M-lists meant that the walk-about and photo-opportunity were cancelled. Congrats to London MA'M. Essex and Cambridgeshire MA'M Meeting
A dozen people met up for the first meeting of the newly formed Essex and Cambridgeshire MA'M group at the Moon on the Square, Basildon, Essex. It was a great evening, with plans made for Mayday 2000, the Lincoln Cathedral demo and for future local actions. If you'd like to find out more contact: moveagainstmon@hotmail.com or pager: 01523 160145. Another meeting is being planned soon.

Report of Nottingham Demonstration Against the Royal Visit
It could have been a tricky fixture holding a demo against the Queen outside one of Britain's most elite and right-wing universities. But, by common consent it was a great day out. A score of hardy anti-monarchy protestors met up to heckle the Royals and take the piss out of the the few dozen student and academic sychophants. Having confronted Prince Philip in his chauffeur driven Bentley, it was the 7-billion-dollar woman whose walkabout was cut short by the happy-angry mob chanting 'What Do We Want? - No Queen, How do We Get It - Guillotine', 'Racist Scum Off Our Streets' and 'They're Rich, Their Fly - They Murdered Lady Di'. The noise more than drowned out the half-hearted applause of the dwindling crowd of by-standers and pro-royalists, so much so that local TV News had to show the footage without sound.

A veteran of anti-royalist demonstrations, Andy M. commented on his pleasure at the day. 'The queen was so shocked by the abuse, I thought she was going to have a heart attack. It was right up there with the Bristol demo.' Two unusual incidents of the day. It didn't piss down, unusual for a MA'M activity, and even rarer - the old bill didn't nick anyone (as far as I know) - only one threatened arrest for breach of peace. A big thanks going out to the three from the London and Essex crew who infiltrated inside the campus. But what happened to the Sheffield lads and lasses? - - The Welcoming Committee

Bristol MA'M Pub Night

We organised a "Pub Quiz" and punk disco as a benefit for MA'M. on November the 5th @ The White Horse pub, Ashley Road St. Pauls, Bristol. A completely sober and respectable Bristol activist with no hangover at all, no none, reports that the event was a wonderful success, and a good few quid being raised for MA'M coffers. Mysteriously the top prize a bottle of Vodka was won by Ian's team.

Congratulations and bottles of aspirin all round to those competing.
