This December 7, 1984 statement to Mr. Bewley has been withheld from
disclosure indefinitely. As you can see by the statements to the three
Canadian political party leaders, i have been suggesting that cruise
missile testing policy be reviewed by N.A.T.0.1--if it is a policy with
their participation which isn't too clear--for some time now.
Mr. Bewley is on vacation until March 9, 1985.
They are either going to put off the third test or they are going to
go forward with it this month.
I am quite serious about this issue of launching an appeal to the
Supreme Court of Canada about the money for the work.
If Reagan disputes it as work, or "argues" about the payment, then,
frankly, one can envision soldiers in the streets of many nations--
including the United States and Canada--showing us what peace is to him.
Or perhaps i can think up something else.2
