Phone: [no longer relevant]This is how i understood what we were pursuing in the work you requested literature about for (the education facility "my Christian friend" works for), "my Christian friend". I have had some extraordinary problems completing the work, and as i mentioned to you one of them is that Mr. Trudeau did not see fit to pay me for the work before his retirement. But you and i, as Christians, know that we cannot admit defeat because of a few setbacks when so many remain in need. This is our faith.
I will supply you and (the education facility "my Christian friend" works for) in future with copies of the responses by the political authorities in Ottawa and Victoria. I will provide them with copies of my statement here to you, "my Christian friend". This morning's edition of The Province, in an article titled, 'PM has a cause', reports that Prime Minister Mulroney will "take up the cause of the Third World" when he attends this week's economic summit of the seven industrial powers in Bonn, noting his remarks that:
"I think it's my responsibility to make sure, for those who aren't there, that their voices are heard."
Canada does still care, "my Christian friend".
Thank you again for your help for the Western Institute for the Deaf and the underprivileged children. Regrettably, the telephone canvassing will be ending this weekend, but if you do find others who can and wish to help, do telephone me at home and i will see that tickets are sent out to them or that they can contribute and express their "concerns" as they are able to.
We are a "human family." When one of us needs help, we should provide it. We each have times when we need help. We must do all we can now to once and for all remove the "Fear of annihilation".
