Human Government; The third Dispensation

The third dispensation of the bible is also known as the Noahic Covenant, and subjects humanity to a new test. Its distinctive feature is the institution of the first human government.

The highest function of this government is the judicial taking of life. Man is responsible to govern the world for God. That responsibility rested upon the whole race, both jew and Gentile. That is until the failure of Israel under the Palestinian Covenant discussed in Deuteronomy brought the judgement of the captives, when the "times of the Gentiles" began, and the government of the world passed exclusively into Gentile hands. That both Israel and the Gentiles have governed for "self" and not God; is sadly apparent!

The judgement of the confusion of tongues ends the racial testing; that of the captivities the Jewish; while the Gentile testing will end in the smiting of the image (Daniel 2) and the jugement of the nations (Matthew 25:31-46)

During the beginning of this dispensation the whole earth spoke the same language. They found a plain in the land Shinar; and they dwelt there and it is there that the story of the tower of babel occurs.

Genesis 11:4 "And they said, let us build a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth."

Guess what? That is exactly what happened...

Genesis 11:7-9 "Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand each others speech. So the Lord scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth; and they left off to build a city. Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the Lord did there confound the language of all the earth; and from thence did the Lord scatter them abroad upon the face of the whole earth,"
