Canada Customs wishes to confisate YOUR legal property

Future Plans

I plan on making a visit to Canada sometime near the end of October. As usual, I will enter in Fort Erie. Before my trip, I plan on purchasing a double edged dagger with a 10 inch blade. This will clearly be a weapon as defined by the Criminal Code of Canada. It will be stored in the trunk of my car in a locked case, so that I cannot be liable for a charge of having a concealed weapon

While in primary inspection I will state that I have a weapon to declare.

I will offer no explanation for having the weapon, since it is a weapon by design. I don't want the item to be admitted under some "aceptable use" policy. I want it to be admitted simply because I have a legal right to own it.

If for some reason local police get involved, I will state the purpose of the weapon is simply to test the Canada Customs policy on importing weapons.

I will post the outcome on this webpage.
