For those of you who aren't familiar with Policy Debate, it is when 2 people work as a team against two other people. One side affirms the resolution, and the other side negates the resolution. This year's resolution is, "The United States should substantially change its foreign policy towards Russia". If you are just learning Policy Debate please don't hesitate to e-mail me with questions.
On the following page I have listed what I have available to trade, some of it isn't on the computer, but I will have it on within a couple of days. I am very prompt with responses to e-mail and normally will respond within about 3 to 4 hours.
Forgein Extemp is by far the toughest individual event in Forensics. Due mainly to the lack of good reporting on international issues done in the US by the major publications. The basics of the event is that the competitor has 30 minutes to do research on a current events question, then that competitor will give a 7 minute speech answering the question. There is a lot more to the event than I described here and once again, if you have any questions then e-mail me.
US Extemp can be tricky as well though, because more of your judges will feel that they know about the subjects that you are speaking on, so BS isn't going to work as well. But overall it is easier than FX,
I have found that canned intros are a great tool to have in extemp as they save about 5 to 10 minutes of prep time. If you would like to trade canned intros with me, or just talk about current events, then please e-mail me.
