BAYAN works with other patriotic and progressive alliances, organizations and individuals based on the principles of consensus, independence and initiative to advance the struggle for national freedom and democracy.

BAYAN conducts intensive and systematic information campaigns and education on the basic problems of the people and searches for alternative solutions.

BAYAN undertakes socio-economic rehabilitation projects in support and in defense of the democratic rights of the internal refugees and other victims/survivors of militarization and “development” aggression particularly the peasants and indigenous peoples in the countryside.

BAYAN supports progressive candidates in elections when they contribute to the advancement of the people's struggle for sovereignty and for people's rights and welfare.
