Frequently Asked Questions
1) What kind of bike should I get?
Ah yes. The age old question. Personally, I think that to a large degree it doesn't matter.
You are in good shape as long as you have a bike that fits you, isn't totally generic, and is
designed for the riding you want to do. In other words (for example), don't get a pro sized
bike if you are 6'3" tall, don't buy a $100 Kmart bike if you want something that will last,
and don't get a super lighweight and high-tech bike if you plan to freestyle (unless you're
just doing flatland). Other than that, don't sweat the decision. Believe me, performance
is 98% rider and 2% bike.
3) Can I put your trick guide, articles, or photos on my web site, even if I give you credit?
In a word, no. I'm not selfish or stuck-up; I just want to keep this site original. It's not
original if everyone copies it. Besides, it only looks bad on you if you use others' stuff.
If you don't have enough bmx/freestyle content, then don't start a web site.
4) Can you add me to your web ring?
That depends on your site. If you have a nice design and good bmx or freestyle content, I
will probably add your site to my bmx/freestyle web ring. You must first however add yourself
to the 'queue' (web ring waiting list). This can be done on the
web ring page.
5) How do I do a ____?
If you want my advice on how to do a certain trick, read my how-to guide.
Please don't ask me to elaborate on a trick explanation. Most all the tricks I can explain are
in that guide and they are explained the best I know how.
6) Where is the closest BMX track to me? What are BMX tracks like?
