I have had experience in using three models of the "Talk About" realm. They have equally ensured their worth for me in many ways.
They are commercially sold as having two miles of range but that would only be on flat, unobstructed terrain unless one of the transcievers is atop a very high hill. I have found that under extreme cover, they are still versatile for a good mile.
