“Average Joe 2: Hawaii” takes the concept from the original Average Joe on to the beautiful island of Hawaii.  It was taped before the original AJ ever aired so neither the contestants, nor the woman whose affection they were vying for, had any idea of what was about to happen. The premise is simple. Larissa Meek (pictured to the right), an artist, former Miss USA contestant, and model, is swept away to the Hawaiian island paradise with the promise of romance to be found among a group of 18 Prince Charmings. The twist that she is unaware of, however, is that the 18 men who will be romancing her are not the studly pretty boys she is expecting. Instead, they are a group of guys who, although full of personality, are overweight, nerdy, and/or just plain average. The men will compete for the heart of Larissa and try to avoid being eliminated by her. In addition to many new promised "twists", they are all unaware that in a few weeks, a new group of guys will come to join the game. This new group will consist of the hunky, good looking men Larissa was probably expecting originally. This leads to an all-out "Joe vs. Jock" competition in which Larissa will answer the question, "Can a beauty queen ever fall for an Average Joe?"
