Prelude to The Perfect Pint.

The Pour
Listen closely to that seductive hiss. Somewhere in this bar, an unchilled pint glass is held at a 45-degree angle below a gleaming Guinness tap. The tap pulls forward and the Guinness flows, rising approximately ľ full. That, in essence, is the perfect pour --- the very first step to a perfect pint.

The Cascade
It’s hard not to stare at a cascading pint of Guinness. It’s one of life’s most sensual pleasures. So watch the bubbles slowly rise. A creamy white head begins to form, floating gently on the ruby blackness. Then as the bubbles come to a rest, ready yourself for the pleasure to come – the final top-off is just moments away.

The Top-Off
Now that the bubbles have come to rest, your pint is ready for the final top-off. This second pour brings to completion the much celebrated Guinness head – smooth, creamy, gently resting on the dark brew below. Then, and only then, can your pint be called ‘perfect’. And a perfect pint deserves a fitting presentation.

The Presentation
The pour was perfect.The top-off complete. Now your pint is placed before you. Let it settle a few moments more. Then take a deep breath and gently wrap your hands around the glass. Lift it to your lips and take your first sip. Smooth and creamy. Rich, yet mellow. The prelude is over. The pleasure begins.
