These photos, taken at about 11:20 am on 12 August 2001, show the train passing through the former Matamau station yard. All that now remains there are the 1884 station buildings and the loading bank. Matamau station is under the care of Ormondville Rail Preservation Group, but to date has only received limited restorative attention, as effort has needed to be focused on developing Ormondville station.
