1. Goal: To provide an opportunity for members with varying skill levels to play badminton in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. The focus is on fun and recreation, not competition.
2. Membership: This is a registered adult club. Members must be 19 years or older.
3. Insurance: All members are covered by insurance purchased from Toronto District School Board (TDSB). Members should report injuries as soon as they occur, so our insurance coverage is not compromised.
4. Standard Format of Play: Doubles games. Singles games are not permitted if other players are waiting.
5. Tuesday Play: Six small courts are used. Beginners are encouraged to attend on Tuesdays.
6. Friday Play: Four standard courts are typically used. There is generally more competitive play on Fridays, for intermediate and advanced players.
7. Guests: Guests may come only on Tuesdays. Fee is $5.00 per guest, per night. Guests may attend twice, and then are expected to join, providing space is available. Paid guest fees will be refundable upon registration.
8. Equipments: Badminton nets and standards (stored at the school) are set up and taken down by club members.
9. Clothing: Recognized badminton attire must be worn.
