Jenny

Hi, my name is Jenny Poortman. I was born on February 19th 1986, so I am now eleven years old. I live in Titirangi, which is in Auckland, New Zealand. I go to Glen Eden Intermediate School, which consists of Form 1 and 2 (Year 7 and 8) students. There I am in Form 1 (Year 7). I live with my mum, dad and my brother Nick. I do not have a best friend, but many good friends. I have a pretty good sense of humour, and I really enjoy somebody with a sense of fun. I also enjoy playing practical jokes. I am a very sporty and adventurous kind of person too. I love a challenge - living with this family is one! I have a lean figure, and am as tall as my mum. I don't know what I want to be when I grow up, but my mum thinks I would make a pretty good journalist.

I play tennis for a club, and have played for my school. I also play netball through the school. I really enjoy playing both of these sports. I also like skiing, which is lucky because it's the one thing my parents said we have to do! At school I am also in the choir, and I help out in the tuck-shop. I am also totally obsessed with the Spice Girls, a really famous pop group. I have their CD, and some posters of them. I also spend a lot of time reading, I sit in the bath reading for hours sometimes.

At home, I have one cat, Bella. We got her in October, 5 years ago. She is a tortoise-shell cat. She has a line right down the middle of her face, and one side is black, the other brown. We nick-named her 'the four-legged-hot-water-bottle' because she comes and sits on our laps when she is really warm. She normally sleeps on our bed at night. Bella likes food like chips, marmite, cream, and chocolate. I also like animals, especially small, cuddly four-legged furry ones.
