Everyone lookout, it's Jennifer Shaw on the loose!
It's August of 2003 and I'm deigning to update once more. Just a little bit for now though, I'm on the living room computer and out of the many resources I can only find on my own machine. I updated the links section at the bottom of the page, in an attempt to bring more of my scattered WWW empire into some kind of structured unit organized from this site. So, consider the ones at the very bottom 'internal links', even though few of them are on the same server. Links to other people's websites and all that will be scattered throughout the following paragraphs, or in a separate 'external links' section. Got it?? Good! Be merry and peruse! I just spent a killer lot of time making a craptacular Salem gallery that harkens back to my original 'old pictures' I've-just-learned-HTML format. This is because my Photocountry gallery is getting full and thus far my attempts at getting another gallery from them have failed miserably.
In case you haven't noticed, I'm starting to change the format of my page a wee bit. Meaning, reduction in the other pictures and more stuff I made. I know, I know, this means less copyright infringing, but I'm sure you'll all be able to find a new role-model. And I might change the pics in a bit, once I've found better ones. As the little picture of mean below indicates, this is *always* under construction! But we all know this by now, right? So send me compliments on my lovely photography skills of Jen (to your left). I think this is a classic pose that really brings out her personality and lets you see the gentle and loving girl inside her cool, supermodel exterior. It sure would make me feel welcome at someone else's webpage anyway!
Before I forget! Very important, I now have an Elfwood Gallery up, you all must go visit it and leave lots of wonderful comments because I am just so proud and happy! Right now I have six pictures in there, I am working on a bunch more at the moment and I have a lot of sketches I haven't even thought about touching up yet... so there is lots of fun goodness to come! I love Elfwood, so if you've never been there before go to the main site (after you leave many comments in my gallery) and check it out. Its a collection of amateur fantasy and sci-fi art and even a section for stories and poems, it's awesome. There are SO many talented artists and more gorgeous works than you can shake a stick at. Of course, you know me I'm not really going to update that either, even though I've got about ten pictures sitting in Photoshop half-done. Mmph. I also updated the Drawings page (link at bottom you lazies) by deleting a lot of junk and adding a new section for things I'm working on right now. I only have four up because most of my half-finished things are on my home computer, so you'll all just have to wait in drooling anticipation for that.
Since I'm too lazy to make a separate links page I would like to take this opportunity to mention some of interest. First of all there is Ada's photo gallery which has some pictures of me in it, as well as other Smith Hall people. So go look. Also, there is my favoritest online comic, Sluggy Freelance that is just adorable. Its three times as hilarious if you know anything about sci-fi pop culture. Yes, that's the weird link in my IM info that no one wants to click on - its harmless, just addictive. There is the java Mini Golf Game, which is hours of mindless fun for the whole family. And yeah, that's it for now.
This is the school section. (Note to self.. maybe I should make a little heading for each section... hmm.) As you all know, I go to UNH in scenic cow-heaven - Durham. Joy of life. These are my interesting classes, half of which I am doing poorly in: Introductory Drawing, Medieval History, History of the Tudor and Stuart Period, and Historical Thinking. (Do we see a devotion to one's major here?) I live in Smith Hall, the international dorm, again. This year I'm not the prez, just the "Social Events Coordinator" so pretty much I do nothing. Kappa Delta is a high point of life in this backwater town, and now that recruitment is over we can finally breathe easy again and go back to our less frantic style of life. (Hugs to all my Sisters!) I will be going to London for the spring semester, which should be a very nice change of pace. I'm taking mostly british culture/history classes while I'm there, so maybe I'll actually come back with appliable knowledge. At the very least I'll get to travel all over the damn place.
This is the relationship paragraph, but as we all know they SUCK, so we're not going to get into that. As I am going to London next semester though, I think that it will be an excellent opportunity to find Scottish-accented Prince Charming, so I'm all set with this nonexistant 'dating scene' at UNH. Of course, I did get TWO, yes two, bouquets of flowers this year. Yes, I do hate cut flowers and no, both jamokes didn't know me long enough to find it out. The flowers were given because each was extremely demented and did something so idiotic that they felt the need to go out and buy dead plants to present me with. Those are the times that I wish I was 50 with grey hair so that maybe the morons that hit on me would at least be mature enough to run away after making a blunder that large.
Gemstone is okay, I have a new character and I enjoy playing it a bit, its much fun and a lot different from Viria. I barely ever play while school is going on, I just don't have time and I can't summon up the 'magic' needed. Couple that with the fact that almost every friend I had that plays quit long ago, and you see why my enthusiasm has dampened. I really am going to try to go to Simucon this year, honestly! I know, its been five years that I've said that but this time, I'm not going to Europe, I might have enough money and even if I don't I'll throw myself into the DR freaks' van and make them take me. I didn't get to go to the Halloween gather because I was in CANADA (yes, that's right, I finally went and it was wonderful!), but I did go to King Richard's Faire and was happy to see everyone. Hopefully someone'll get the initiative to have one before I leave, New Years perhaps? Hint, hint...
Well, I was going to add something cool to the page and I just up and forgot what it was. I really really will scan and make a new photos page when I go home (yeah at Christmas). I have lots of cute ones, and though most are hanging on my wall I'll have to take them down by then anyway. Oh, I started one of those cyber-journal things and I think I wrote in it maybe two times. How weird do you have to be though, to write all your personal feelings in an online diary that all your friends and complete random strangers can just go through and read?? That's kind of stupid, if you ask me. If my friends read my journal, whoa, you would all hate me! Hahaha.
As to the travel scene in my life, TravelChums and Friendfinder are invaluable sources of dirty old men who want to offer up free trips to young girls. I'm not saying I would ever do such a thing, but some of these offers are pretty tempting. A month long all-expenses paid luxury cruise around Europe? And all you have to do is "date" some guy who's in his 40s... how bad is that. Could this be legally defined as prostitution? Perhaps, but let us keep in mind that prostitution is legal in Nevada and some European cities. On the more legitimate side, I'm going to travel all over when I go to London. Luckily, I have a few friends/relations who are also going to be abroad during that time - Sandy in Scotland (love your cousins!), Ada in Paris (I can kind of speak french, I'm an asset!), a few people in Italy, and Anderson with me in London; so hopefully I will have places to crash without having to pay. Good deal.
Not too many prospects on the job scene, I'm thinking of prostrating myself to the mercy of the Pheasant Lane Mall store managers and hoping to snag a Christmas help position so I'll at least have a bit of cash before I head over to merry old England. I was also considering WalMart, because don't they always need people? Yes I think so. I doubt I'll find an office job for just a month, or anything else that contains fun or requries skill.
Alright, below is the thing I am going to use to navigate. The words that are blue are the headings, and the purple ones are the links. Easy enough, right? Now I just need more stuff to put down there. Perhaps I'll even put a links section below it, we'll see.
